CUMBERLAND, RI (January 27, 2011) – The Children's Workshop, a prestigious child care center with 15 locations throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island, announces the release of their first children's book, Webster Goes to School – an adorable, hardcover book starring the child care company's lovable mascot, "Webster the Puffin." The colorfully illustrated book captures in personalized words and delightful illustrations the culture of The Children's Workshop.
The new popular title, Webster Goes to School, features the playful school mascot enjoying a full day of activities with his little friends and friendly teachers. During his day, Webster paints, listens to a story, enjoys lunch, takes a nap, sings silly songs and plays on the playground. The Children's Workshop plans to use this one-of-a-kind book to proudly promote their child care centers to current and prospective families. They will host a series of special events at their child care centers throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island as well as nearby public libraries. "Webster," the celebrity mascot, will be signing autographs during upcoming story hours as well.
Maggie Teller, Director of Marketing and Corporate Development, and Lyn Smith, author of the book, worked closely alongside nationally recognized children's publisher, Mascot Books located in Herndon, VA, to create their unique, customized book. Mascot Books has published over 250 popular titles and sold over 2 million books in major retail outlets and college bookstores across the country. The Children's Workshop now joins hundreds of colleges and universities as well as professional sports teams and authors by publishing their very own book with Mascot Books.
"We're delighted to be able to publish a book about our beloved mascot, Webster. The children in our care really love him, and he's a big part of our culture and the fun we have at The Children's Workshop. Thanks to Mascot Books we can now share Webster with the world!"
"It's been so rewarding to partner with The Children's Workshop and to help their marketing team create a unique marketing tool to promote their child care facilities to current and prospective parents and their children," said Shani Seidel, Sales and Fundraising Manager at Mascot Books. "The illustrations are simply adorable and young boys and girls that attend The Children's Workshop now have a great book about their favorite mascot to enjoy with their parents and friends."
