BrightStars benefits children, families, and child care programs by emphasizing the importance of quality and by giving parents information to make choices about their children’s care.
In order to achieve a BrightStars rating, the program was assessed across many quality standards and criteria. A BrightStars quality rating provides accurate, reliable information about program quality to families and the community. Child care and early learning programs participating in BrightStars use the BrightStars rating system to guide improvement and access quality improvement tools and resources.
“BrightStars raises the bar for early childhood and school-age programs in Rhode Island,” said Tammy Camillo, Director of BrightStars. “The Children’s Workshop’s BrightStars participation is a sign that they are a key player in a statewide effort to ensure high-quality early childhood care and education for Rhode Island families.”
