This summer, The Children’s Workshop partnered with United Healthcare to offer Latin Ballroom Dance classes for school age students in Central Falls, Providence, and Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
The dance classes are instructed by Orlando Vanterpool, Lead Marketing Specialist at United Healthcare. Vanterpool has always had a passion for dance. He decided to bring his talents to The Children’s Workshop as part of the Community Outreach Program.
Alison George, Regional Director of the School Age Program at The Children’s Workshop, noted, “It’s great to see the kids learning about Latin Culture through dance. They love Orlando’s class, and they pick up the steps so easily!”
The Latino Summer Dance Camp program is located in The Children’s Workshop’s Pawtucket, Providence and Central Falls Centers. Vanterpool teaches children ages 4-12 salsa, bachata, and merengue. The program helps children to stay physically active throughout the summer and teaches them something new.
