Education Programs for All Ages in Warren, RI
Education is our priority at The Children’s Workshop. By making use of a play-based environment, children can grow and develop in a learning style that works best for them—all while having fun!
Accredited Learning at a School That Cares
Our Core Values encourage young children to continue their educational journey by playing in a safe environment, being kind, putting forth their best in all they do, and always striving to learn and grow. Teaching infants through school age children, and ages in-between, The Children’s Workshop understands development is ongoing for all ages.
Through our Parent Communication App, you can find information about your child’s day at our school. From daily reports that explain what your child learned, to pictures of them participating in activities, you can feel confident your child is receiving the education and care they need and deserve.
Programs Available All Year
Students of all ages can play and learn similar to how they would in school. Even after the traditional school year has come to an end, parents will love our Summer Camp programs. From language to social skills, no stone is left unturned as kids of all ages enhance their education all season long.
The Children’s Workshop in Warren is across from Dudek Bowling Lanes on Child Street. Stop by today and help your child enroll in an educational setting they will love.
Parent Communication App
We have an extraordinary Parent Communication App that our teachers use daily to relay information and send pictures to family members, send newsletters, and track developmental progress for each child’s portfolio! With this application, parents/guardians are able to opt into email or text alerts and they can receive any information, instantaneously, about their child and their child’s school day.
Teachers and staff can tag daily pictures with our Developmental Domains (Social/Emotional, Physical, Artistic, Cognitive, and Language/Literacy) and are then able to communicate with the parents/guardians by adding captions or sending quick little notes.
Families LOVE this feature and we’re utilizing it more and more each day! We are so excited to be able to communicate with our families throughout the day and to show them what their children are learning each day.
For more information about our Parent Communication, please visit our Family Communication page or contact the Director of the school you are interested in learning more about!

Hi! My name is Abbie-Jo Francis and I’m the Director of our Warren center. I grew up in Warren and now live in Bristol so I know the surrounding area and many of the great people who live and work here as well – it’s a great place to live and work!
I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with children. I hold an Associates Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, am a RI certified teacher and have 20 years of experience teaching and working with children. I have been with The Children’s Workshop since 2002 where I started as Head Teacher here in Warren. I then moved to Assistant Director and am now proud to serve as Director for this great school.
Please stop by and visit our Warren Center. I’d love to meet you, show you our newly renovated school, and introduce you to our fantastic teachers!

Tracy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Early Childhood education from the University of RI. Besides overseeing sites she has also managed successful fundraisers including golf tournaments, developed and given countless training sessions, and served on boards and committees. Tracy is currently one of the faces of The Children’s Workshop appearing on segments of “The Modern Parent” on Fox Providence’s morning television show, The Rhode Show. In her role, Tracy enjoys most supporting and helping the staff, families, and children she works with every day. When she is not working, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband and children.
Absolutely love it here. They treat my kids great and are very caring.
Love this daycare and all the staff. Been using this daycare for 11 years for 4 kids. They’re like a second family to our children.
