The Children’s Workshop in South Dennis is located in the Cranberry Square Plaza. We offer high quality child care and learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. Our program offers affordable rates, convenient hours, and a great location with easy access from Route 134. We now offer hot lunches too!
We utilize The Children’s Workshop Curriculum, a framework we developed that draws inspiration from the Creative Curriculum and the Early Learning Standards of several states, which you will see in action in all our centers. Children retain more when they’re having fun so our programs emphasize learning through play. Our curriculum provides a strong foundation for children’s academic success and our teachers provide a warm, nurturing environment in which every child can be successful. Our age appropriate classrooms are warm and inviting. Within each classroom we have distinct interest areas consisting of blocks, table toys, art, cooking, computers, library, family living corner, and an outdoor space that provides a place for physical activity. These areas provide children with choices and endless opportunities to learn and grow. Children are encouraged to make their own choices to gain a sense of independence and self-esteem.

Parent Communication App
We have an extraordinary Parent Communication App that our teachers use daily to relay information and send pictures to family members, send newsletters, and track developmental progress for each child’s portfolio! With this application, parents/guardians are able to opt into email or text alerts and they can receive any information, instantaneously, about their child and their child’s school day.
Teachers and staff can tag daily pictures with our Developmental Domains (Social/Emotional, Physical, Artistic, Cognitive, and Language/Literacy) and are then able to communicate with the parents/guardians by adding captions or sending quick little notes.
Families LOVE this feature and we’re utilizing it more and more each day! We are so excited to be able to communicate with our families throughout the day and to show them what their children are learning each day.
For more information about our Parent Communication, please visit our Family Communication page or contact the Director of the school you are interested in learning more about!
We are VERY proud to be a NAEYC accredited center! For more information about NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and the high quality standards they demand of their accredited programs, please visit the NAEYC website!
We would like to invite you to visit our center! Please stop by or call to schedule an appointment at 508-760-2772. We can’t wait to meet you and your child!
Back Up Care
Preschool & Pre-K
HI! I am Miss Katie! I began working for The Children’s Workshop in November of 2007. I transplanted myself to Plymouth from New Hampshire where I started in a School Age program in 2006. Since coming to The Children’s Workshop, I have worked in all age groups, but most recently was promoted the school director of Bourne in February 2016; I love watching the children reach new milestones, and hearing the stories they love to tell everyday!
I hold a Director II certification from the Department of Early Education and Care, as well as Lead Teacher certification for Infant, Toddler and Preschool children. I have my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Development from Rivier College, and have completed advanced coursework in early childhood curriculum development and program administration. When I am not at The Children’s Workshop I enjoy watching the Red Sox and Patriots, camping, reading, and spending time at the beach.
I love what Cape Cod has to offer, and would love for you to come to our Bourne location and see it for yourself!!
Nicole joined the Home Office team in 2014 as Regional Director of Operations for nine of our schools In this role she oversees the operational and financial success of our schools and works to support and train our fabulous center Directors. Prior to this position she was Director at our Westborough, Smithfield, Rumford, and Warwick schools. During her time at TCW, she has had the pleasure of presenting at both the local and national levels, including a NAEYC national conference in Atlanta, GA, as well as being part of the Modern Parent, a segment on the Rhode Show.
Nicole started working for The Children’s Workshop in August 2008 in our Warwick location where she served as Director. She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. In addition, she has received her Early Childhood Teaching Certificate and just recently (2015) completed her Master’s Degree from Rhode Island College in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Before joining TCW Nicole was a substitute teacher in the RI Public School system. Her passion is educating both children and adults – she loves to show kids and adults alike just how much they are capable of accomplishing. Her favorite thing about working with children is that it’s a guarantee that every day is different. When she’s not at work, she has a 2 year old Lab mix named Lexi who she just adores! She also loves the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid sports fan – the New England Patriots is her favorite team and football is her favorite sport to watch!
The Children’s Workshop has been a great experience for me and my child. At our former daycare we had a very unpleasant experience, we were welcomed into The Children’s workshop with open arms, they are now part of my childs extended family. The teachers have been so wonderful with supporting our family, they are all wonderful at what they do and really enjoy their jobs and teaching all the children in their care. The past year has been a wonderful learning experience for my child, he is always excited to go to school and comes home sharing what he has learned at school that day.
