Maintenance Team

The Maintenance Team is a great asset to the company, assisting in keeping our centers in good repair.  The team, from left to right, is Marybeth, Harry, and Matt. Together, they have a lifetime of experience in carpentry, building repair, and safety updates. They work around the clock to make sure our facilities are safe and clean for the children.

Margaret Teller

President & CEO

Maggie has formally been a part of The Children’s Workshop team since 2008 when she joined the company to lead its business development efforts but her connection to the company started much earlier than that in 1990 when The Children’s Workshop was founded by her father, Dave.   In 2010 she stepped into the role of Director of Marketing and oversaw the marketing, advertising, customer service and business development for the company.  After that she held the role of Director of Corporate Development, which allowed her to work to develop team members, find ways to strengthen the company’s business, and uncover new opportunities for growth.  She has served as head of the Human Resources department as well, overseeing the company’s recruitment, training, retention and employee relations efforts.  In June of 2014 Maggie was promoted to President & CEO.  Maggie also acts as steward for the Children’s Workshop brand, mission, and values and is Executive Director of The Children’s Workshop Foundation.

Maggie graduated from Wellesley College in 2004 with a degree in Economics and Computer Science before receiving her M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Management at Babson in 2007.  Prior to joining the Children’s Workshop she worked for The Congress Group, Inc, a Boston based Real Estate developer, experience she puts to good use in helping to manage many of the TCW properties as well as locating and evaluating new site opportunities.  Maggie loves running, fitness, tennis, and spending as much time as possible with her husband Kevin, her daughters Molly and Sara (both TCW students!) and their golden retriever, Clara.

Marybeth Young

Senior Vice President of Property Management

Marybeth Young serves as the Senior VP of Property Management for The Children’s Workshop. She began her career in July of 1996 as a bookkeeper in the finance department. At that time there were 3 centers. Marybeth has grown with the company and has been instrumental in the development of new centers and business ventures. Marybeth is also known as the Home Office baker, she loves baking homemade fudge and cookies for her very fortunate staff! Marybeth has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Human Resources Certificate from Bryant University and continuing education credits from RI College in addition to her 23 years of experience in the accounting field.

When not at the office Marybeth enjoys traveling, especially to Patriots games, baking, and spending time with her family, including her husband Chris, daughter Jenna, and son Joseph.

Meghan McNally

Director of Marketing

Meghan joined The Children’s Workshop in early 2018 as Director of Marketing, Sales and Communications.  Her role is to oversee school’s well-established brand, ensuring the visual identity and key messaging are consistent and of the highest quality. She helps to set annual and long-term strategic goals and manage an integrated marketing and communications approach for school-wide and center-wide initiatives. She also works to develop and execute tactics designed to support enrollment and sales programs.

Meghan has worked in marketing and communications for over 12 years at companies such as Jaymie Scotto and Associates and United Site Services. She attended Pace University, Lubin School of Business, and has a degree in Culinary Arts. She enjoys cooking, decorating, painting and spending time with her son, Jude, a TCW student. #NurtureTeachInspire

Melanie Cline

Assistant Director of Marketing

Mel joined the Home Office team in June 2015 as our Family Engagement Coordinator. She brings both backgrounds in marketing and childcare to the table as she works on all aspects of our Marketing, Advertising, and Family Engagement. She started with The Children’s Workshop in 2008 as a Teacher Assistant and later became the Lead Infant Teacher in our Smithfield school.

Mel earned her B.A. in Mass Media Communications with a minor in Marketing from Rhode Island College. During her four years at RIC, she was a member of the women’s basketball team, winning a Conference Tournament championship and competing in the NCAA Tournament. After graduating in 2013, she interned in our Marketing Department helping with social media, all summer events, and the kick off of our Back to School campaign.

In her spare time, Mel enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing basketball, and spoiling her nephew, Austin. She’s a huge music, movie, and sports fan and loves attending concerts and Red Sox games! Mel’s favorite thing about working here at The Children’s Workshop is that she is able to do what she loves day in and day out and she loves being able to connect with our families and communities through TCW’s social media!

Nicole Chiello

Vice President, Regional Director of Operations

Nicole joined the Home Office team in 2014 as Regional Director of Operations for nine of our schools  In this role she oversees the operational and financial success of our schools and works to support and train our fabulous center Directors.  Prior to this position she was Director at our Westborough, Smithfield, Rumford, and Warwick schools.  During her time at TCW, she has had the pleasure of presenting at both the local and national levels, including a NAEYC national conference in Atlanta, GA, as well as being part of the Modern Parent, a segment on the Rhode Show.

Nicole started working for The Children’s Workshop in August 2008 in our Warwick location where she served as Director.  She is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. In addition, she has received her Early Childhood Teaching Certificate and just recently (2015) completed her Master’s Degree from Rhode Island College in the field of Early Childhood Education.

Before joining TCW Nicole was a substitute teacher in the RI Public School system.  Her passion is educating both children and adults – she loves to show kids and adults alike just how much they are capable of accomplishing. Her favorite thing about working with children is that it’s a guarantee that every day is different. When she’s not at work, she has a 2 year old Lab mix named Lexi who she just adores! She also loves the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid sports fan – the New England Patriots is her favorite team and football is her favorite sport to watch!

Sasha Brathwaite


Sasha joined The Children’s Workshop in August 2016 as our Controller. Her role at The Children’s Workshop is to manage and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and cash management, payroll, financial reporting, local, state and federal government reporting, as well as budgeting and forecasting. Sasha also supports our Center Directors with daily business needs.

Sasha earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy from Bryant University. She has over 7 years of accounting experience working at PWC and TripAdvisor before joining our team. Sasha enjoys traveling, dancing and spending time with her husband Roy and son Derek, a TCW student.

Stephanie Williams

Director of Food Services

Steph joined the TCW team in 2014. She has been in the food service industry for almost ten years, pursuing both Culinary and Pastry passions. She attended Johnson and Wales where she received her degree in Baking and Pastry Arts in 2012.

Steph’s favorite part about working with the Food Services team at TCW is the flexibility– they have a constantly rotating menu with new dishes added all the time. She is able to expand her imagination and branch out with new ideas! Her favorite dish from the TCW kitchen is the delicious broccoli alfredo because of all of the veggies mixed into it without even tasting them!

Outside of work, Steph loves any outdoor activities. She specifically enjoys going to the beach, kayaking, hiking, traveling, and sight seeing!

Tracy Martin-Turgeon

VP, Regional Director of Operations

Tracy has been in the field of early childhood education for 22 years.  She started with The Children’s Workshop in September 1999 as an assistant director for one of the Massachusetts sites and has since served as director, regional, and currently as a VP regional overseeing seven facilities throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Tracy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Early Childhood education from the University of RI.   Besides overseeing sites she has also managed successful fundraisers including golf tournaments, developed and given countless training sessions, and served on boards and committees.  Tracy is currently one of the faces of The Children’s Workshop appearing on segments of “The Modern Parent” on Fox Providence’s morning television show, The Rhode Show.  In her role, Tracy enjoys most supporting and helping the staff, families, and children she works with every day. When she is not working, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with her husband and children.
