Kindergarten
When there is a specific need in a community, we take great pride in offering full day private kindergarten programs that provide a natural transition from our preschool program to the public first grade. Our kindergarten program supports your child's desire for knowledge and builds the foundations for reading, science, math, art, music and computers. Graduates of our kindergarten program have the ability to succeed in any first grade program.
Our Kindergarten program provides an environment in which children have an opportunity to extend their learning based on their individual learning styles within a small classroom setting. Our classroom size is often limited to 12-15 students, which provides a much better child to teacher ratio than the public schools, allowing for more individual attention.
Our Kindergarten Teachers and Center Directors spend time meeting with public school principals to make sure that our program meets and exceeds the town's kindergarten standards. Our Kindergarten classes allow for your child to receive more personalized attention since our classes often offer lower teacher to student ratios than the public school.
Key characteristics of our Kindergarten curriculum:
- Full day instruction
- Small group activities and individual learning experiences
- Learning to write sight words and other writing skills
- Begin the foundations for reading and language arts
- Develop math skills including counting, basic addition, and sequencing
- Introduction to social studies, science and health
